Two males fight with their horns to win a female, a bit like knights in a tournament.
A male can be up to 13 centimetres long, more than twice as long as a female.
The female has no big horns, and her wing cases feel like velvet because they are covered in tiny hairs.
It looks a lot like the Atlas beetle. You can tell them apart by a small tooth on the Caucasus beetle's lower horn.
A grown-up beetle lives only 3 to 5 months, but as a grub it lives underground for 12 to 15 months.
